1._About the IELTS Listening Test

The IELTS Listening Test is the same for both the Academic and General Training versions:

It consists of 4 parts and takes around 30 minutes.

Part 1 is an everyday social conversation between two people.

Part 2 is a monologue set in an everyday social context.

Part 3 is a conversation between 2, 3 or 4 people in an educational or training context.

Part 4 is a monologue on an academic subject.

2. OUR TEST

For this test you will listen to four (4) short listening sections.

You need to listen ONLY ONCE to the audio and select your answer.

NOTE: In the REAL IELTS test, you only have one (1) opportunity to listen to the audio, the audio is NOT repeated!

3. What to Do

There are 15 questions across 4 audio recordings.

Audio 1: Questions 1-3

Audio 2: Questions 4-7

Audio 3: Questions 8-11

Audio 4: Questions 12-15

You should:

Read the questions and answers.

Choose the correct answer.

You should allow at least 15+ minutes to complete this test.

4. Get Ready

NOTE: You may find it easier to write your answers on a piece of paper and TRANSFER your answers to your phone/computer.

We recommend taking this exam in one (1) sitting.

However, if you have a Gmail account, you can save your test and return to it later.
